WE ARE ROCKIN’
When we imagined an annual fundraising event, the goals were very organic – to raise critical awareness about the Reinhart Guest House mission, invite the community into our home to celebrate the ministry, and raise necessary funds to sustain the Reinhart Guest House operation for the long term. The response to this event has been overwhelmingly positive, so we will be rockin’ again!


REINHART GUEST HOUSE IMPACT

Since opening our doors in June 2014, the Reinhart Guest House has served more than 1,000 families annnually, traveling from 48 states, to be near loved ones at St. Mary’s Hospital. Community members have entered our home daily to serve in many heartfelt ways, from writing notes filled with prayers and hope for our families, to preparing home-cooked meals that have most assuredly generated positive energy for our families. We receive in-kind gifts such as nonperishable food, supplies and other household products that help us maintain our home and comfort the families. We see the impact of this kindness in the eyes of our caregivers every day.


LOCAL SUPPORT
The Reinhart Guest House, like any home, requires funding for day-to-day operational costs, such as heating, air conditioning, electricity and general maintenance. Guests are encouraged to make a lodging donation of $45 per night. However, no caregiver is ever turned away due to their inability to pay. Funding for house operations and programs is our lifeline and comes through local fundraising efforts like Rockin’ on the Avenue.


Rockin’ on the Avenue is a significant event for the Guest House that raises critical awareness, celebrates and elevates the importance of hospitality in health care and raises funds that help to sustain the Reinhart Guest House operation for the long term. Rockin’ committee members are the reason why this event is so successful; leveraging their personal and professional networks to help maximize community support for the event and broadening our donor base every year! Their advocacy reaches far beyond this event, which is why their commitments are so important.
