More than 350 influential businesswomen, community leaders, and philanthropic donors who want to empower victims of domestic violence, elder abuse, child abuse, and sexual assault and bring perpetrators to justice attend the event. Ninety percent of attendees are women ages 30 to 65. Guests are key influencers, tastemakers, and connectors in their communities. They are charity supporters, socially conscious, and community minded. These women pay attention to fashion and attend fashion events, and also enjoy wine and attend wine events. They proudly represent the typical luxury brand consumer.

Funds raised through the Wine Women & Shoes event will support Bon Secours Forensic Nursing. Bon Secours forensic nurses collect evidence from victims of physical violence including sexual assault and human trafficking in the Greater Richmond area and beyond. They are leaders in their field, providing education to police, EMTs, teachers, physicians and other health care providers, emergency departments and many others, with the goal of identifying and assisting victims, preserving evidence and obtaining justice for the victim.
