Funds raised through this event will support the Bon Secours Violence Response Team. For over 200 years, the Mission of Bon Secours has been to bring compassion to health care and to be Good Help to Those in Need. The Bon Secours Richmond Violence Response Team is an important part of that Mission and has been a critical resource for those impacted by violence for more than 30 years. For most of those years, the Violence Response Team was known as the Forensic Nursing Program. As a result of expanded services to include victim services advocates and community health workers, the program was renamed the Violence Response Team in 2022. The Violence Response Team provides community outreach in various ways, including participation in multiple sexual assault and child abuse response teams, as well as offering community lectures and presentations on sexual assault, human trafficking, strangulation, child abuse, elder abuse and interpersonal violence.
